Christie Contemporary is pleased to present Redoubled, opening on Friday, February 21
and continuing through Saturday, March 14, featuring the work of Shannon Garden-Smith,
Sarah Elise Hall, Yam Lau, Jade Rude and Erin Vincent.
Repetition is a strategy that is at once insistent and fugitive. The cast, the replica, the
mark in profusion, effectively borrows from something else, now in a condition of
adaptation. Each of the works featured here entails a sculptural, material expression that
flickers at the verge of resolution, suspended in a state of ‘always becoming,’ deliberate
but held animate through the arc of transition between appearance, recognition and
dissolution.
